Who we are

SD Grin is an original comedy series of short animated cartoons about everyday San Diego life. "SD Grin," "we" and "us" in these terms mean the creator of the series. By using sdgrin.com or watching SD Grin episodes, you agree to these terms.

Ownership

The SD Grin name, logo, characters (including The Local, Tourist Dave, Carlo, Huey, Karina and The Skate Dad), episodes, scripts, artwork, audio and the content of this site are original works of SD Grin and are protected by copyright and other laws. All rights reserved.

The series concept, characters, names, stories, scripts, art direction, editing, voices and sound are created by people. AI tools help render the artwork under the creator's direction.

What you can do

• Watch episodes on this site and on our official social accounts.
• Share links to our site and to our official posts.
• Use the share, duet or remix tools built into Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, as those apps allow.

What you can't do without written permission

• Download, copy, re-upload or repost our episodes or artwork as your own.
• Use our characters, names, logo or artwork in your own videos, products, merchandise or ads.
• Edit, adapt or make new works based on our episodes or characters.
• Use our content to train AI models.

Sending us episode ideas

We love hearing San Diego moments from viewers. If you send us an idea, you agree that:

• You're 18 or older, and the idea is your own and doesn't share anyone's private information.
• Your idea is given freely. There's no payment, and sending it doesn't create any agreement, partnership or confidential relationship.
• We get many ideas and often develop our own. We may already be working on, or later make, an episode similar to yours, and that doesn't entitle you to payment or credit.
• If we use your idea, you allow SD Grin to use, change and build on it in any episode or material, for free and without time limit. You keep the right to share your own idea elsewhere.
• Credit is at our discretion. When we use a submitted idea, we'll try to credit the name or @handle you gave us in the post caption.
• We don't have to reply to or use any idea.

Please don't send scripts, artwork or anything you consider confidential.

Fiction and no affiliation

SD Grin is comedy. All characters and situations are fictional. Episodes may be inspired by real events, but they are not reporting. SD Grin is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any team, league, venue, brand or business shown or referenced.

Reporting misuse

If you see SD Grin content used without permission, or you believe something on this site infringes your rights, email [email protected] with a link and a short description, and we'll look into it.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
